The purpose of this site is just to provide an easy way to create a want list. While some sites allow you to create a want list for THAT specific site, StuffIWant.net lets you include items from ANY shopping site online. So not olny does this help when there's sites that don't have a want list feature, but it also allows you to create ONE want list instead of many. This makes it a whole lot easier on the people who are shopping for you.
To make it just a little better, I've tried to make it as simple as possible to add items to your list and share your list with others. With the simple drag-n-drop item-adding, you can just drag an item's URL from a shopping site into your want list adding page to add it. As with anything I create, I'm open to any suggestions to make it better.
Although the site was created with Christmas, 2004 right around the corner, I'd like to point out that it was built to be used all year 'round. If you have a birthday coming up, make sure your list is up to date and give people the URL. And if you know someone with a wedding in the future, let them know about this site. No more having to hunt down all the different registries they're signed up for.
Make sure to tell friends and put a link to your want list on your home page, blog, or journal. The true reward for a site designer is knowing that what you've developed is useful to everyone.
Stop reading this junk, already, and go add items to your list.
